Internships

General Internship Information:

  • Apply using the form at the end of this page.

  • At the moment, all internships are unpaid—-they must be either academically-funded or for academic credit. Please check with your school before applying for the internship to be sure this can be arranged.

  • All internships are fully online.

  • Internships can be applied for as soon as you see them posted here, but not after the deadline listed with each.

  • How to put this…..you need to be really organized to work with us. Please apply only if you are responsible and able to follow through and meet deadlines.

  • General information about NatureCulture LLC: a small business in Northfield, MA whose goal is to strengthen the connections between humans and the rest of nature. The company directs the Writing the Land (WTL) Project which pairs poets with protected lands; provides online event production for the environmental, non-profit, and creative communities including the Authors and Artists Festival; produces anthologies of poetry and other environmental writing; and teaches workshops on writing and nature. We publish anthologies associated with WTL  involving approximately 300 poets, 150 land trusts and various other partners; and a few single-author books of poetry.

  • NatureCulture is committed to fairness. We comply with all state and federal laws against discrimination on grounds such as race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, genetic information, disability, ancestry, and veteran status, and through our work we attempt to overturn the cultural beliefs that put in place these discriminatory practices. All people working within NatureCulture must be open to the full possibilities and potentials of all human beings, and must treat their coworkers and clients with kindness and acceptance. Hate speech and intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated. NatureCulture's mission includes a commitment to environmental protection, social justice, and positive expressions of creativity. We collaborate with others whose words and actions align with this mission.
